Megan Routbort is a freshman at St. John’s School where she writes for the school newspaper. She is passionate about Fine Arts, English and History. Megan plays the flute and has had numerous roles in local theater productions. She loves persuasive and analytical writing and speaking and aspires to be on the Supreme Court someday. Megan has been attending Unitarian Universalist youth groups since she was 2 years old. Megan would like to thank Mr. Xavier Keys, Youth Advisor at Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church, for providing the inspiration for her essay.
Zebin Dholasaniya is a freshman at Clear Springs High School, who is interested in fine arts and service. Her most enjoyed school subjects include English and art. However, she also loves being a part of H.O.S.A. She finds expressing herself through art and writing very important, and would like to thank Sadiq Maredia for encouraging her to enter the Embracing Tolerance Essay Contest.
Claudia Espinoza is a sophomore at Eisenhower High School who enjoys participating in her school band, Student Council, French Club, ICCE (International Culture Club at Eisenhower), and the National History Day program. She will enter the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme next year and would like to join the Sacred Sites Quest. She thanks her teacher, Ms. Glamser, for informing her about the Embracing Tolerance Essay Contest.
Shabir is a native of Houston and is currently attending Eisenhower HS as a sophomore. He participates in many extracurricular activities, such as History Fair, TSA, and I.C.C.E (International Culture Club at Eisenhower). Shabir really appreciates the help that his history teacher, Ms. Glamser, gave him with writing his essay. In his spare time, Shabir is either playing sports, working out, or studying.
